National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Miami Chapter

NCBW is an organization of progressive women of African descent whose voice and force for gender equity and sociopolitical advancement drives meaningful change to benefit women of color.

NCBW advocates on behalf of women of color through national and local actions and strategic alliances that promote its national and international agendas on leadership development and on gender equity in health, education and economic development. NCBW's mission is accomplished through the following:

Providing effective networks among black female leaders;

Establishing links between NCBW and political and corporate sectors;

Allowing African American women to be visible in socio-economic and political arenas;

Exposing our next generation, through role modeling and mentoring, to new career opportunities;

Recognizing the historic achievements of African American women.

"Building strategic alliances to address issues of women and children of color in South Florida."

Since its inception, the Greater Miami Chapter's mission has been to be an advocacy organization that empowers women through programs and actions, networking, leadership development, political action, and mentoring young women.

The purpose and aims of the chapter shall be:

To foster principals of equal rights and opportunities.

To develop the potential of the membership for effective leadership and participation in civic affairs.

To take action on specific issues of national and international importance.

To foster political and economic development.

To cooperate with other persons and organizations to achieve mutual goals.
