Membership We appreciate your interest in the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Miami Chapter.  Any person who agrees to act in accordance with the purposes, aims, and bylaws of the Greater Miami Chapter and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. may become a member by successfully completing the membership process. We ask that you review the membership categories and application process below. If you believe the purpose and aims of the Coalition provide a good fit for your personal and professional goals, please complete the information requested on our "For More Information" page so that we may contact you during our next recruitment period.

Chapter Member:  A Chapter Member is required to attend a minimum of seven (7) general membership meetings and actively participte on at least one (1) Chapter committee per fiscal year. A Chapter Member is entitled to full voting rights and is eligible to hold elected office and/or serve as a Committee Chair absent restrictions in the bylaws to the contrary. Chapter Members in good standing are entitled to special incentives and/or discounts for select NCBW 100 Chapter functions as approved by the Executive Board. Chapter members are required to participate in all Chapter fundraising activities. 

Associate Member: An Associate Member while committed to the mission, objectives and goals of the national and local Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., is unable to fulfill the Chapter Member requirements. An Associate Member must attend at least four (4) general membership meeings and one (1) Chapter program or evet during th current fiscal year.  Associate members may not hold office but are entitled to full voting right.  Assocate Members are not entitled to special incentives and/or discounts for NCBW Chapter functions and events. Associate members are encouraged but not obligated to participate in fundraising activities.  

Affiliate Member: An Affiliate Member while committed to the mission, objectives and goals of the national and local Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., is unable to fulfill the Chapter or Associate Member requirements. An Affiliate Member must attend at least two (2) general membership meetings and one (1) Chapter program or event during the curret fiscal year.  An Affiliate Member cannot hold office or vote.  Affiliate members may serve on, but not Chair, a Chapter committee. An Affiliate is not entitled to special incentives and/or discounts for NCBW Chapter functions.  Affiliate members are encourage but not required to participate in Chapter fundraising activities. 

Members are required to participate in the Chapter’s programs, committees, activities, and meetings as designated by her membership level.

All applicants admitted into NCBW 100 shall enter as a Chapter Member.

·    Submit completed application along with application fee to:

·     Interview with membership committee

·     Receive a membership committee recommendation

·     Receive a majority vote of the Executive Board*

·     Submit payment of annual membership dues and applicable fees, which are non-refundable

·     Participate in the induction ceremony

*Final authority on the induction of all applicants rests with the Executive Board.
